For more than two decades, theologian Lucinda Mosher has worked as an educator, author, and consultant in the arena of Christian Formation. Her courses and workshops, which explore the intersection between faith and reason from many angles,

have been offered in diverse seminaries, Catholic colleges and universities, preparatory schools, and churches of various denominations in the US, Italy, and Uganda. For many years, she taught wide-ranging, semester-long undergraduate courses in “The Christian Tradition” or “Faith and Critical Reason”. She has also taught Sunday School for children and adults, facilitated a faith-exploration circle for teens, and led mid-week study-and-devotion programs for adults. An accomplished church musician, her choir rehearsals often included systematic instruction in Christian belief and practice.



As a consultant, recent clients have included the Center for Multifaith Education at Auburn Theological Seminary (NYC), Trinity Institute, Columbia University's Middle East Institute, the Interfaith Relations Office of the National Council of Churches of Christ-USA, and the Anglican Communion Network of Inter Faith Concerns.

A life-long educator, Lucinda's recent teaching venues have included The General Theological Seminary, New York Theological Seminary, Fordham University, College of Saint Elizabeth ( Morristown, NJ ) , Ecumenical Theological Seminary (Detroit), and The University of Michigan-Dearborn (where she teaches its annual, innovative Worldviews Seminar).

A frequent lecturer here and abroad, Lucinda works extensively with clergy, seminarians, and congregations on questions raised by America ’s increasingly multi-religious context. Such questions provide the basis for her Faith in the Neighborhood book series. A specialist in Christian-Muslim understanding, she is also known for her scholarship on Turkish mystic Bediuzzaman Said Nursi.
